1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University

Together with experts at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, we test substances on tissue cultures and model organisms. These processes clearly show us the functionality of individual varieties for a specific disease.

St Anne’s University Hospital, Brno

We closely cooperate with the clinical pharmacology unit to design clinical trials and standardise methods for growing cannabis for medical purposes.

University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague

We have been cooperating with the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague (VŠCHT) for a long time in the field of analytical measurement of active substance content, contaminants and chemical description of bioactive components of cannabis and its extracts.

Biocev - Biotechnology and biomedical center

At Biocev, we run a research laboratory focusing on the genetics of cannabis plants in relation to the treatment of specific diseases.

A non-profit organisation which sponsors research into the healing potential of cannabis plants

The Institute of Social Investigative Studies is a non-profit organisation founded by a group of experts from various fields of expertise. It’s also the direct predecessor of CannaCare. Their task is to centralise world research into the therapeutic effects of cannabinoids contained in cannabis.

CannaCare has long funded the activities of this partner non-profit organisation sponsoring the HARP research and application-treatment programme. Here, over the course of several years, we have conducted hundreds of observational studies on the treatment of a wide range of serious oncological and neurological diseases using our cannabinoid-based preparations.

Patient assistance is provided free of charge. Its main purpose is to collect as much medical data as possible to serve as proof that a professional approach to cannabis can save lives.

Lumír Ondřej Hanuš

We work closely with the world-renowned scientist Lumír Ondřej Hanuš, who is considered a pioneer in cannabinoid research and has been engaged in professional research for 50 years. Amongst other things, his scientific work is widely cited for his discovery of anandamide, the first endogenous cannabinoid. A holder of numerous awards, he is a member of the International Cannabinoid Research Society and regularly speaks at conferences around the world, actively fighting for patients' right to cannabis treatment. In its lectures, Dr. Hanuš describes CannaCare as a world leader in the field of cannabis treatment. He also actively consults cases of patients from the HARP programme with us, free of charge.
